WELCOME!

You've reached the online home of The Jam - New York's recreational music center. A community, a facility, a way of life - The Jam helps like-minded musicians hook up, casually jam, form bands, play out, or just hang out and talk about music. Whether you're just getting ready to play with others, or a former pro looking to get back in the game, The Jam exists to help make it happen. Our well-equipped and comfortable studios host open jam sessions three times a week, a resident vocal coach, and a constant stream of rehearsals, auditions, and educational workshops.
 
Twice a month, we put on Showcases at great clubs like Ace Of Clubs, The Cutting Room, Knitting Factory, Rebel, and Red Lion. We book the gigs, rent the van, haul the gear, set everything up, and make sure the show stays on schedule - so our members have all the fun! Members also enjoy reduced-fee jam sessions, musical matchmaking services, free admission to our shows, and a VIP discount at Manhattan's Guitar Center. By removing the traditional hassles of being in a band, we make it possible for busy people to indulge their passion for music while maintaining a career and/or family. In a nutshell: We make it easy to make music.
